Pike place chowder is one of my go tos when people are visiting. We love doing a pike place food tour and the chowder is always a stop! I like getting the 4 cup sampler so you can try all the top flavors (though my favorites are the smoked salmon and world's famous chowders). Personally I am not a fan of their other menu items like the fried calamari (which is something I usually love), so I usually stick to the chowders here. The pike place locations is usually pretty crowded and hard to find a spot to sit. A hack is to order online and pick it up from the back. You can then take it to the other side of the market where there is more seating, and enjoy it by the water :)

10/10 the best chowder I've had in a long time, maybe even ever?! Line moves quick and was so worth it! We tried classic clam chowder in bread bowl (a must!) and small seafood bisque. Both very very good! Would 100% recommend! They also ship on Goldbelly but it's pretty pricey so try and get here in person if you can! Yum!

Best clam chowder ever! Stopped by on a weekday. Seating was easy to find. There was a line before open. Telltale sign of something that is worth the wait. Good portion. Great flavor!

First things first DONT FEAR THE SEATING AREA it will clear up by the time you order. As soon as you order your foods ready and if you don't get a clam chowder bread bowl i dont know why you're even there. Absolutely amazing clam chowder and the bread they use for the bread bowl will have you going nuts my partner and my hands were covered in chowder ripping apart that bowl with the biggest dumbest smiles on our face. My 9 year old nephews first time having clam chowder we successfully converted him to a clam chowder lover it's gonna be a hard time for him to find one this good back home. You have to come give like place chowder a try at least once if you're in the area but warning if you go once you'll think about it going for more really soon

I absolutely loved the Chowder here - I loved it so much I went back after my first bowl and ordered another one! I got the New England and the Chorizo Chowder - the Chorizo was a bit meh but the New England Clam Chowder was arguably the best clam chowder I had! The portions did feel a bit smaller than I thought it would be (a small is just a tiny cup more suitable for snacking) but absolutely recommend giving Pike Place a try! It had little to no wait on a Thursday afternoon, and I was able to find space to sit quickly after ordering. I will be back :)

This is a MUST TRY when you visit the Seattle, WA! Absolutely best chowder I have ever had and we have tried it at many places. It's super impressive that it's even better than the East Coast. The line was wrapped around the location but the Service was fast and efficient. They have a couple small tables inside and a few outside so you can enjoy your food right away. We tried the sampler and were not disappointed in our choices. The seared scallop was my personal favorite. The chowder was creamy and savory with lots of texture. Highly recommend you walk here and stand in line. You will not be disappointed.

The restaurant is a small space in an alleyway, so even with using maps it could be a little difficult to find for people not familiar with the area. The space has very limited seating inside and some outside as well. You wait in line, order your food and find a table after you receive your food, if there any tables are available. I decided to order to go, the line moved quickly, the chowder was packed full of clam meat, but was a little runny to me. All in all I would most likely visit again if I have a craving for chowder.

I've been recommending people to come to the same restaurant at the Pike Place location. It has fish-n-chip, less choices of chowders, and much much shorter line. On this slow weekend early lunch hour, we thought to give it a go and was not disappointed. The line was only about 15 deep and we quickly ordered what were not offered at the other location: different chowders and brioche crab-shrimp roll. They were as good as we remembered! Still, for standard chowder. Pike Place location was a much more relaxed experience.

award winning for a reason! already thinking about when i can come back again. the clam chowder was creamy and rich with flavor. loved how the bacon added to the soup as well. service was great. we asked for an extra side of bread and oyster crackers, and they gave us more than enough (around 2-3 extra!). even though the line was long, they had quick service and cleared the line pretty quick. the table turnaround time, however, was a bit slow and it is a little bit hard to find a seat to eat, so i would avoid rush hour. ordered: large clam chowder

Highly recommend the starter pack. My fam of 5 got it with the New England, Crab & Oyster, Seafood Bisque, and Seared Scallop. My favorite was the seafood bisque - super rich and creamy and the tomato gave it a nice tang that gives it a balance of slightly sweet and savory. There is a bit of a line that moves really quick though (we waited ~15 minutes). Staff gives you your order right as you pay. Seating is very limited and they don't allow you to hold seats, but if you walk down away from Pike Market there is a nice picnic table area with a nice view of the ocean, aquarium, and Great Wheel.
